Learn French in Strasbourg

I.Intensive French course (20 hours/week)

General French, culture, and society for levels A1, A2, B1, B2, and C1 (according to the Cadre Européen Commun de Référence pour les Langues, CECRL).

Schedule: 4 hours/day and 5 days/week

General French courses take place every morning from 9:00 to 12:00 and every afternoon from 12:15 to 13:15, from Monday to Friday in groups of levels (A1 to C1).
The objectives of the courses correspond to the rules defined in the framework of the CECRL. The student develops skills in oral, written, and oral and written comprehension while acquiring knowledge of French culture and society.

Tutoring:  3 hours a week free of charge, depending on availability (Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday), from 13h30 to 14h30 for students enrolled in intensive courses

II.Standard French course (15 hours/week)

General French, culture, and society for levels A1, A2, B1, B2, and C1 (according to the CECRL).

Schedule:  3 hours/day and 5 days/week. General French courses take place every morning from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Monday through Friday in Level Groups (A1 to C1).

The objectives of the courses correspond to the rules defined in the framework of the CECRL. The student develops skills in oral, written, and oral and written comprehension while acquiring knowledge of French culture and society.

Tutoring: 1 hour per week in the reservation of places, one afternoon of your choice (from Tuesday to Thursday), from 13h30 to 14h30 for those enrolled in the standard program.

III.Private Lessons

General or specialist French, pedagogical face-to-face for levels A1, A2, B1, B2, and C1 (according to the CECRL).

Planning : all year round according to the demand.

Teaching method

The Stralang Institute aims to teach languages with a current and communicative approach, focusing on the practice of oral, interactive methods, monitoring, and strengthening of writing. All levels and programs have been harmonized in the CECRL. At the end of the session, the student receives a certificate of completion indicating the level reached on the basis of the CECRL.

Didactic materials

The didactic materials are offered by the institute (only at the beginning of the training) for those who are enrolled in an intensive course and for a minimum semester. Later they will have to be purchased.
Students can borrow books and DVDs. They also have access to a computer and free WiFi.

Exams

At the end of the session, the student takes an exam that will determine their level.You can also register for a preparatory session of the TCF, DELF, or DALF.
Upon completion of the training, the Institute shall issue the student with a certificate of completion indicating the overall hourly volume of the training, the level of language acquired according to the CECRL, and the number of ECTS credits obtained.
